A customer came into my store absolutely raving about this book - so much that he immediately went home, got the book and came back with it for me to borrow.
What I enjoyed: This whole entire concept is so fun and hilarious while at the same time maintaining a bit of heart. Donut obviously provides the most comedic relief, but Carl’s bumbling idiocy is really funny too. All of the boss fights stay entertaining because each one has surprising solution. All of the layers kept my brain working while the fanciful whimsy of the world building allowed a really fun escaped.
