Brand-new, never been previously owned book. May have a remainder mark

What I enjoyed: There were so many moments I chuckled out loud living in the minds of these two people. I at once despised them, but also felt immense sympathy toward them and their situations. The excessive and lavish life of Ludwig and his castles while also very poorly concealing his sexual dalliances gives perspective to his decisions. The ending left a melodramatic flair of not really confirming anything, much like history itself has. It’s so rare that historical fiction is a compelling, page turner just because of writing style.
