What I enjoyed: This has been on my list for a while because of the promise of heartwarming character development.
And it delivers on that in abundance.
I’m such a sucker for a villain trying to turn hero story, and that’s exactly what Vic brings to the pages as a murderous orc who wants to start over as a barista. It seems silly from the description, but when you start reading, it’s so very sincere. It felt genuine and hopeful. The perfect brain candy if you need an escape.
