0/5 spice - the characters kiss a couple of times, but nothing beyond that.
What I enjoyed: Anna and Maryam make a really fun and different twist on the grumpy/sunshine trope. I loved watching them grow and make mistakes. Their backstories were fully realized and gave them adequate dimension. They also talk about more than men too; which I was happy to read!! I also appreciated that the writing style allows for explanations to holiday traditions without over doing it or feeling condescending. Sure, the Holiday play at the end is a little corny, but with just the right amount of sentimental cheese to make this fit the genre of cozy romance.
